Intimate Garden Wedding at Coalesce Bookstore Chapel in Morro Bay | Larry & Lindsay
Tucked among the story-filled shelves of Coalesce Bookstore , a Morro Bay landmark since 1973, is one of the sweetest little ceremony spots on the Central Coast. Behind the bookstore through a gate and into a quiet garden, sits the Coalesce Garden Chapel. It feels a bit like stepping into a secret chapter of a novel.
On September 6th, 2025 Larry and Lindsay chose this charming space to begin their next chapter together, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them. The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, with soft light shining through stained glass window that is the heart of the chapel.
An Intimate Garden Ceremony at Coalesce Bookstore
The Coalesce Garden Chapel is perfect for couples looking for a small, meaningful wedding in Morro Bay. Larry and Lindsay’s ceremony was filled with warmth and genuine emotion.
One of the most beautiful parts of the day was celebrating not just a marriage, but the joining of two families. Larry’s son and daughter participated proudly alongside Lindsay’s daughter as they became a blended family. There was laughter, a few happy tears, and the unmistakable feeling that something truly special was happening.
Wedding Photos Inside the Coalesce Bookstore
After the ceremony, we wandered through the bookstore for photos among the towering stacks and colorful spines. There’s something wonderfully fitting about taking wedding photos in a plce dedicated to stories.
Every aisle felt like a scene waiting to happen. Larry and Lindsay embraced the playful spirit of the space, creating portraits that felt fun, personal and full of character. The bookstore added a unique and cosy atmosphere to their wedding photos.
Morro Bay State Park Boardwalk Couples Photos
Afterward, we headed to the Boardwalk at Morro Bay State Park for family portraits and couple photos. The light along the bay was soft and varied as the marine layer shifted in and out. A wonderful mix of direct golden and soft filtered light.
The kids explored the boardwalk while we captured moments of the newlyweds and then the newly blended family togther. The breaze moved through the grasses and the branches of the giant cypress tree, the bay and wetlands stretched out behind them , and the whole scene felt peaceful and joyful.
The photos from this part of the day felt sweet and intimate, parents sharing proud smiles, and larry and Lindsay taking a quiet moment to soak in the beginning of their next chapter.
