Featured on the Cover of Edible Weddings Central Coast 2026-2027 Issue

I’m beyond honored to share that one of my photographs has been selected as the cover image for the 2026-2027 issue of Edible Weddings Central Coast-and that I also have a feature inside the magazine.

Even more exciting? This is only the second issue of this thoughtfully curated publication, making it feel like being a part of something just as it begins to bloom.

As a frequent contributor to Edible San Luis Obispo, it feels especially meaningful to be included in this sister publication and to continue telling stories that celebrate this region I love so much.

What Sets Edible Weddings Central Coast Apart

If you’re familiar with the Edible family, you already know their signature approach: storytelling rooted in place, season and community.

Edible Weddings Central Coast brings that same philosophy into the wedding world-and is uniquely a collaboration between Edible San Luis Obispo,  Edible Santa Barbara & Wine Country, and Edible Ojai & Ventura County. That regional partnership gives the publication a layered perspective, drawing from the richness of the entire Central Coast.

This is a publication that highlights weddings that are regional, intentional and connected- to the area, the food and the people gathered to celebrate. A defining part of that approach is a strong emphasis on sustainability. From sourcing local, seasonal ingredients to highlighting eco-conscious vendors and low-impact design choices, the magazine celebrates weddings that are not only beautiful but mindful.

The Cover | Jaquelyn & Abrar at Avila Beach

The cover image comes from Jaquelyn and Abrar’s sweet wedding at Avila Lighthouse Suites. What I loved most was how deeply personal the celebration felt. Their wedding was a sweet, simple gathering of their closest friends and family, bringing together two different culture in a way that felt warm and meaningful. There was amazing food, understated details and a strong emphasis on family, connection and shared experience.

Avila Beach offers an absolutely gorgeous canvas for sunset photographs. The light is to-die-for and most of the beachgoers have packed up and gone home by sunset. Jaquelyn & Abrar had the beach (almost) to themselves for their dreamy romantic portraits.

I submitted several images from their wedding, each one a different feel and story. When I saw the final cover selection, it felt exactly right. It captures the essence of their day in a way that feels both timeless and alive.

Featured Inside | Alicia & Brandon’s Santa Barbara Courthouse Elopement

Inside the issue, you’ll also find Alicia and Brandon’s beautiful elopement at the iconic Santa Barbara Courthouse.

Their wedding was simple in the most meaningful way- intimate and centered on what mattered most, deep connections with close friends and family. Elopements like this naturally lend themselves to a more sustainable approach, less excess and a deeper focus on experience. A fabulous dress, beautiful details (That dress! Those shoes! That architecture!) and a good photographer can create gorgeous images to last a lifetime.

Here are a few more of my favorite images from the day…

Three Weddings with One Family!

Alicia & Brandon’s wedding is especially close to my heart because it’s part of an ongoing story. I’ve now had the honor of photographing three weddings within the same family:

  • Brandon’s brother Nick’s wedding- Elegant with Country flair.

  • Alicia & Brandon’s elopement- Classic and timeless elopement.

  • And Nick’s mother-in-law’s wedding- Church vows and a Ventura seaside reception.

Being invited back again and again is one of the greatest gifts of this work. It turns my photography into a thread woven through a family’s history. An honor and a privilege that creates so much personal meaning for me.

A Central Coast Wedding Worth Telling

Being a part of Edible Weddings Central Coast feels like standing at the intersection of everything that I love- storytelling, community and a deep sense of place.

It’s also a celebration of weddings that are not only beautiful, but thoughtfully created with sustainability in mind- a direction that feels increasingly important and inspiring within the wedding industry.

This publication is carving out a space for weddings that feel real, personal and conscious of the beautifuk resources we enjoy here on California’s Central Coast.

Having my work featured on the cover and within its pages, is something I will alwasy treasure.
